The Gates Moulded Heater Hose 02-0802 is a pre-shaped replacement coolant hose for a vehicle's heater circuit. Moulded to an OEM-style profile, it holds its bend in tight engine bays where a straight length of hose would kink or chafe. Gates engineers the hose to resist electrochemical degradation, the leading cause of premature hose failure.
This heater hose is built to SAE 20R4 and 20R3 Type EC Class D-1 and D-2 specifications and carries a heat and ozone-resistant cover, with a rated operating range of -40°C to 135°C in coolant applications. The EPDM tube and cover with synthetic fibre knit reinforcement suit coolant, water and air use, and the hose is not intended for transferring fuel or oil.
