Garrett builds the GT2256V with variable nozzle turbine technology and a vacuum operated pneumatic actuator, so boost is managed by moving vanes in the turbine housing rather than a wastegate.
This turbo charger suits 2000 to 2006 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 216 CDI, 316 CDI and 416 CDI vans and the Dodge Sprinter running the OM612 DE 27 LA engine, a five cylinder 2,685cc diesel producing 115 kW. The oil cooled centre housing runs on journal bearings.
