The Garrett GVW 50mm External Wastegate Black G908829-0003 regulates turbocharger shaft speed by venting exhaust gas around the turbine stage of the turbocharger. Its valve housing is cast from high temperature stainless steel rated to exhaust temperatures of up to 1,050°C, while the anodised aluminium actuator cover carries a black finish. Liquid-cooled actuator ports are available for severe applications, reducing actuator body temperature by up to 52% compared to an uncooled unit.
This 50mm external wastegate is set to a standard base pressure of 1 bar (14.5 PSI) and can be configured from 0.2 bar (2.9 PSI) up to 1.7 bar (24.7 PSI) by changing the spring. The kit includes springs, inlet and outlet V-bands, inlet and outlet flanges, a valve seat, water fittings and banjo fittings for installation, and its flange dimensions are interchangeable with the Turbosmart Gen V ProGate 50.
