The Garrett Actuator 32.0psi Small 70mm Rod 6mm To Suit Land Rover TD5 G434133-0046 is a pneumatic wastegate actuator for TD5 turbochargers. The actuator senses boost pressure and begins opening the internal wastegate at 32.0psi, bleeding exhaust gas past the turbine so boost stays under control.
Garrett builds this actuator to the small body pattern used on the GT frame turbochargers fitted to the Land Rover TD5, with a 70mm rod and a 6mm rod that drop straight onto the wastegate lever. A tired or corroded turbo actuator is a common cause of poor boost control on these engines, and fitting a replacement boost actuator is far simpler than replacing the complete turbocharger.
