The Dobinsons Snatch Strap 9m x 100mm SS80-3803 is engineered to extract a bogged or immobilised 4WD when a second recovery vehicle is present. It stretches under load with a 22% stretch factor to store and release kinetic energy, giving it an 11,000kg capacity for recovering heavier vehicles. A sliding protective sleeve guards the strap against abrasion during the recovery process.
Dobinsons has manufactured springs and suspension components since 1953, bringing that same engineering background to its recovery gear. The minimum breaking strength of this snatch strap should be matched to between 2 and 3 times the gross vehicle mass of the lighter vehicle used in the recovery.
