Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) construction gives this SmartDrive battery superior micro-cycling performance, handling the rapid charge and discharge cycles that idle stop/start and regenerative braking place on a battery far better than a conventional flooded unit. High charge acceptance lets the battery recover quickly between engine-off stops, and low self-discharge keeps it ready during extended periods of vehicle storage.
Rated at 60Ah with a 100 minute reserve capacity, the DIN53LHAGMS is built with recessed posts, carry handles and a flame arrestor for safe, straightforward installation into passenger vehicles fitted with stop/start technology. The maintenance-free sealed design needs no topping up over its service life. After fitting a new battery, the vehicle's battery management system may need to be reset or the battery registered for the stop/start system to operate correctly.
