The Century Bluetooth Battery Monitor BM12V tracks a 12V battery's state of charge and the vehicle's starting and charging system in real time. Readings are sent by Bluetooth 4.0 over a range of up to 5m to the free Century app for iOS and Android, so there is no gauge to mount. The monitor suits flooded, AGM and gel lead acid batteries in cars, 4WDs, caravans, boats and other recreational vehicles.
Century battery monitor measurement covers 9-16V with voltage accuracy of plus or minus 0.03V, and the app records a crank test each time the engine starts so starter performance can be compared over time. Push notifications flag low battery voltage and low cranking voltage before a no-start, while 31 days of stored voltage history helps pinpoint a charging fault.
The BM12V draws just 1mA, operates from 6-20V DC across -40°C to 90°C, and carries reverse polarity protection plus an in-built resettable fuse for short-circuit protection. The unit measures 55 x 35 x 16mm with 172mm ±5mm cables and weighs 75g including packaging, and it is backed by a 2 year warranty.
