The Castrol MAGNATEC 10W-40 Semi Synthetic Engine Oil API SQ 5 Litre is a part synthetic lubricant for petrol and diesel engines, meeting the current API SQ standard. It is engineered for today's urban driving environment and protects engines against the wear caused by frequent re-starting in stop-start traffic.
The oil clings to vulnerable metal surfaces and moving parts inside the engine, forming a protective layer that remains in place even after the engine has been switched off. This gives the engine added protection from the moment of start-up, when most wear typically occurs, and continues to bond to metal surfaces throughout the drive to increase resistance to wear in both high and low temperature conditions.
Castrol MAGNATEC 10W-40 suits petrol and diesel vehicles where the manufacturer recommends an ACEA A3/B4, API SQ or earlier specification 10W-40 lubricant. It is not suitable for vehicles fitted with a diesel particulate filter (DPF).
