The Castrol EDGE 0W-40 Full Synthetic Engine Oil API SQ 1 Litre A3/B4 is an advanced full synthetic oil for petrol and hybrid passenger cars, currently licensed to API SQ and meeting ACEA A3/B4.
It is engineered for engines designed to run at their optimum on lower viscosity oils, giving outstanding wear protection across a wide range of driving conditions and temperatures, from short trips to sustained high load use. Castrol EDGE technology is also used to deliver more power for the same fuel as a 5W-40 baseline, shown across engine testing of more than 90% of the Castrol EDGE range.
Castrol EDGE 0W-40 A3/B4 suits petrol and hybrid vehicles from Audi, BMW, Ford, Holden, Honda, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, Skoda, Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo, and holds Mercedes-Benz MB-Approval 229.5 and meets BMW Longlife-01, Porsche A40, Renault RN 0700/RN0710, VW 502 00/505 00 and Ford WSS-M2C937-A specifications. If your handbook asks for Mercedes-Benz MB 229.3, this oil can be used. It is not suitable for vehicles fitted with diesel particulate filters (DPF).
