The Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 3 6 x 500mL 3377668 is suitable for use in disc and drum brakes and hydraulic clutch systems where a non-petroleum based DOT 3 fluid is specified. It is supplied as a carton of 6 x 500 mL bottles, 3 litres in total. Certain Japanese vehicles stipulate DOT 3 brake fluids, and this fluid is not recommended where DOT 4, Super DOT 4 or DOT 5 fluids are specified.
Castrol Brake Fluid DOT 3 is formulated from mixed polyalkylene glycol ethers together with lubricity additives and corrosion inhibitors, giving a high level of protection against wear and corrosion. It meets or exceeds FMVSS 116 DOT 3, ISO 4925 Class 3, JIS K 2233 Class 3, SAE J1703 and AS 1960.1-2005 Grade 1 requirements, and is fully compatible with other DOT 3 brake fluids.
