The Car Builders Water Proof Carpet Underlay is a 10mm closed cell foam engineered to reject water completely, making it ideal for vehicles regularly exposed to moisture. Unlike traditional jute and cotton mill scrap underlays that absorb water and deteriorate, this waterproof underlay will not rot, mould or stay damp, protecting your cabin floor for years.
Beyond moisture protection, the underlay acts as a decoupling layer that dampens external road noise and isolates heat transfer, reducing cabin noise and improving thermal comfort on long drives. It suits industrial vehicles, convertibles and 4WDs that face frequent water ingress, and installs easily with a peel-and-stick self-adhesive backing — just cut to size with scissors or a blade and press into place. For best results, layer it over Car Builders Stage 1 Sound Deadener for enhanced noise control.
