The Car Builders 4x4 Wagon Premium Pack Sound Deadening Kit is a two-stage floor pan insulation system designed for 4x4 wagons including the Nissan Patrol and Toyota Land Cruiser. Stage 1 comprises three boxes (5.4 sq/m) of sound deadener, applied to the floor pan, firewall, inner quarter panels and rear wheel arches to damp panel vibration at the source. Stage 2 adds four sheets of mass noise liner—a closed cell thermal waterproof underlay bonded with heavy weight mass loaded vinyl that blocks road noise and heat transfer, the same technology found in luxury vehicles.
Three sheets (4.5 sq/m) of mass noise liner lay in the carpet area up to the rear cargo zone with carpet installed directly on top, while the fourth sheet (1.5 sq/m) serves as a removable sound blanket for the rear cargo sheet metal with no deadener required underneath. A complete install kit includes application roller, utility knife, foil tape, stubby holder and bottle opener to complete the job in a weekend.
