The Car Builders Troopcarrier 78 Roof Pack - TROOPYRP is a purpose-built sound deadening kit for the Land Cruiser Troopcarrier 78 Series roof. It contains 2 boxes (3.6 sq m) of Stage 1 Sound Deadener — a butyl-based sheet that bonds to the roof skin to control resonance and reduce the road and wind noise that makes Troopy touring fatiguing over long distances. Aluminium foil tape is included to seal every edge of the deadener sheets, locking out moisture and ensuring full contact between the material and the panel. An application roller lets you press the deadener down with firm, even pressure, eliminating air pockets for a lasting bond.
The Troopcarrier's factory headliner is a tight fit, so this pack is sized specifically for Stage 1 Sound Deadener installed beneath it — no lining removal required. If the factory lining is being replaced as part of a full build, Car Builders' pre-cut insulation packs (sold separately) can be added on top for greater thermal and acoustic performance. The Troopy Roof Pack slots in as an add-on to either the Car Builders Standard or Premium Troopy Packs, making it easy to complete a whole-vehicle sound deadening job in logical stages.
