The Car Builders Single Cab Ute Standard Pack Floor Rear Wall Doors and Roof is a complete multi-material sound deadening kit sized for single cab 4x4 utes. Covering the floor pan, rear firewall, door skins and roof in one order, it tackles road noise and cabin heat from four directions simultaneously. The pack weighs approximately 20kg and contains enough material to carry out the full installation without separate purchases.
Stage 1 Sound Deadener — a butyl rubber and aluminium mat — is the first layer applied to bare sheet metal, absorbing panel vibration that creates that characteristic tinny rattle on gravel roads. Because it is butyl-based rather than bitumen, it requires no heat gun to bond, produces no odour and will not crack or lift over time. The 10mm Waterproof Underlay goes over the top on the floor and rear firewall, replicating factory underlay thickness and adding a heat insulation layer between the cabin and the road surface. Insul-Layer 6mm foam applied to the roof skin rounds out the system, softening inbound sound and acting as a thermal barrier against external heat. All three products are peel and stick, and the included install kit — application roller, utility knife, foil tape plus a Car Builders stubby holder and bottle opener — puts everything needed in one box.
