The BMC Carbon Racing Airbox To Suit Audi R8 4.2 V8 Quattro CRF705/01 is a complete carbon fibre racing airbox for the Audi R8 4.2 V8 FSI Quattro. It suits Audi R8 4.2 V8 FSI Coupe models from 2006 to 2012 and Spyder models from 2010 to 2015, both with the 6-speed manual transmission. The airbox uses a 100% carbon fibre support structure paired with a cotton air filter, developed by BMC's Racing and Advanced Composite Division for applications across Formula 1, MotoGP and World Superbike.
Carbon Racing Airbox construction helps the unit withstand the vibrations and heat generated in both everyday road use and intensive track driving, while its internal geometry maintains constant air box pressure for improved intake airflow over the factory air cleaner box. The cotton filter inside the kit is washable and can be regenerated through a cleaning and re-oiling process rather than needing replacement.
