The Bendix Ultra Premium Brake Fluid DOT 5.1 1 Litre is a high-performance brake fluid for extreme braking applications. Formulated for vehicles demanding higher boiling point ratings, including track and racing applications where extreme temperatures are generated, DOT 5.1 sits at the top of the glycol-based DOT scale, delivering greater thermal resistance than DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluids and longer service life before moisture absorption degrades performance.
Brake fluid is a hydraulic fluid whose primary job is to transfer force from the pedal through to the brake calipers or drums. Like all glycol-based DOT fluids, DOT 5.1 is hygroscopic, it absorbs moisture over time to prevent pooling and internal corrosion, so periodic replacement is important to keep boiling point and braking response at their peak.
