The Aerpro Steering Wheel Control Interface to suit Mercedes-Benz CHMC00C lets installers fit an aftermarket head unit while keeping factory steering wheel controls on various Mercedes-Benz models. The interface includes two vehicle specific harnesses, one with an ISO connector and one with a Quadlock connector, so it connects directly into the existing wiring without cutting the factory harness. It is CANBUS compatible and supports Factory Audio 20 and Comand NTG 2.5 (Quadlock) head units, with outputs for reverse trigger, park brake, speed pulse, illumination and telephone mute.
An SWC patch lead is required alongside this interface to enable steering wheel control functions, and the aftermarket head unit must be SWC compatible. Voice assistant button support can be added through a firmware update. This interface can also be used as a suitable alternative wherever CHMC1C or CHMC2C applications are listed, and it pairs with the optional Aerpro APP9 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness & SWC Patch Lead for simplified installation. It is not suitable for OEM amplified vehicles.
