The Aerpro Steering Wheel Control Interface to suit Hyundai & Kia CHKI2C allows drivers upgrading to an aftermarket head unit to keep using their factory steering wheel controls. Engineered for various Hyundai and Kia models fitted with an OEM SPDIF digital amplifier, the harness connects directly into the vehicle's existing wiring via a vehicle specific plug with 12 way and 14 way Molex connectors, so no cutting of the factory wiring is required. It provides output feeds for reverse trigger, speed pulse and amp remote, and retains the OEM SPDIF digital amplifier while allowing fader adjustment through the steering wheel controls.
An Aerpro SWC Type C patch lead is required to enable steering wheel control functions and is sold separately. Installation is simplified further when paired with the optional Aerpro APP9 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness and SWC Patch Lead, which connects between the aftermarket head unit and this interface. The aftermarket head unit must be SWC compatible, and steering wheel control functions may vary from the original factory functions.
