The Aerpro Steering Wheel Control Interface to suit Renault CHRN9C allows you to upgrade to an aftermarket headunit while retaining your factory steering wheel controls. The interface uses a Patch Lead Type C connector with a vehicle specific plug that connects directly into the existing Renault wiring, so no cutting of the factory wiring harness is required. It supports outputs for speed pulse (pink) and illumination (orange), giving the new headunit the signals it needs to operate correctly.
This Renault steering wheel control interface suits the Trafic (2011 to 2014, X83), Trafic (2014 onward, X82, head unit dependent), Master (2011 to 2017, X62), Kangoo (2013 to 2018) and Captur (2014 to 2016). An aftermarket headunit must be SWC compatible, and an Aerpro SWC patch lead, sold separately, is required to enable steering wheel control functions. Pairing it with the optional Aerpro APP9 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness & SWC Patch Lead further simplifies installation.
