The Aerpro Steering Wheel Control Harness to suit Renault CHRN7C allows an aftermarket head unit to be fitted while keeping factory steering wheel controls. It suits the Renault Clio 2005-2007 (X65), Clio 2008-2009 (X85), Laguna II Phase II 2007-2008, Megane 2004-2009, Kangoo 2005-2013 and Trafic 2004-2010 (X83), all fitted with a separate dash display. A vehicle specific plug connects directly into the existing factory wiring, so no cutting of the factory harness is required. CANBUS compatibility means no additional modules are needed for installation.
A separate SWC Patch Lead Type C is required to activate the steering wheel control functions. Installation is simplified further when paired with the optional Aerpro APP9 Headunit Secondary ISO Harness & SWC Patch Lead, which connects between the aftermarket head unit and this interface. The aftermarket head unit must be steering wheel control compatible, as steering wheel control functions may differ from the factory operation. An exception applies for Cabasse Auditorium head units fitted to the Renault Megane 2004-2009, which require the CAN wires to be rewired.
