The Aerpro 9" Multimedia Receiver to suit Volkswagen Various Models 2015-ON MIB-PQ, AMDVW14 is a complete head unit upgrade kit for select Volkswagen vehicles fitted with a factory MIB-PQ unit. It suits Volkswagen Amarok (2016-on), Caddy (2015-2020), Multivan (2016-2019), Tiguan (2015-2016) and Transporter (2016-2019) models, and retains the factory steering wheel controls during installation. The 9" capacitive touchscreen offers a 1,024x600 resolution display for smooth, responsive control of maps, media and menus.
This multimedia receiver supports wireless or wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in DAB+ digital radio, AM/FM tuning with RDS, and Bluetooth V5 for hands-free calling and audio streaming with HD Voice support. Audio performance includes 4 x 50W maximum output, 5-channel 4V RCA preamp outputs, a 13-band EQ and time alignment for fine-tuning sound through an add-on amplifier. Dual rear USB inputs allow media playback or CarPlay and Android Auto connection with charging.
Supplied as a full kit, the AMDVW14 includes the AM905D multimedia receiver, a matte black facia kit, steering wheel control interface harness, SWC patch lead, antenna adaptor and a 720P AHD universal rear camera, with a second camera input available for a front or towing camera. An ignition stabiliser may be required for stop-start models and a separate camera retention adaptor is needed to keep a factory reverse camera, neither of which is included in this kit.
