The Aerpro 10" Multimedia Receiver Head Unit Kit to suit Various Volkswagen Models with Factory MIB-PQ Unit AMDVW5 is a 10 inch touchscreen head unit for Volkswagen vehicles fitted with a factory MIB-PQ unit. It suits the Volkswagen Amarok (2016 on), Beetle (2015-2016), Caddy (2015-2020), Multivan (2016-2019), Tiguan (2015-2016) and Transporter (2016-2019). The 1,024x600 capacitive touchscreen runs wireless or wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in DAB+ digital radio, AM/FM tuning with RDS, and Bluetooth V5 hands-free calling and audio streaming.
Supplied as a complete head unit upgrade kit, the AMDVW5 includes the AM1005D multimedia receiver, a matte black facia kit, an Infolink steering control interface harness, an SWC patch lead, an antenna adaptor and a universal rear camera. The kit retains the vehicle's steering wheel controls, factory reverse camera (adaptor required, not included), parking tones, factory amplifier and vehicle menu access.
Audio output reaches 4 x 50W across four channels, with 5 channel 4V RCA preamp outputs, 13 band EQ and time alignment for tuning the factory amplifier. The included surface mount camera delivers a 110 degree field of view with optional parking guidelines and an IP67 rating. An ignition stabiliser (Aerpro APIGNSTB) may be needed on stop start models, and a camera retention adaptor (Aerpro APVVW03) is required to keep the factory camera, both sold separately.
