The Aerpro 9" Multimedia Receiver Head Unit Kit to suit Mitsubishi Triton & Challenger, AKMB26 fits a 9 inch trapezoid head unit into these vehicles while retaining factory features. The kit is designed for universal trapezoid shaped radios and will not suit standard DIN or double DIN sized head units. It is compatible with the Alpine INE-AW409S, Kenwood DMX80AXS, Pioneer DMH-AP6650BT, Aerpro AM9X and various Android head units. The kit retains steering wheel controls including the phone button, along with AUX and USB input, though the factory reverse camera, factory amplifier and vehicle menu are not supported, and the compass display is lost on Triton GLX-R and Challenger variants.
Kit contents include a black facia kit, steering wheel control interface harness, SWC patch lead and factory USB retention harness. A head unit ISO harness is not included, and the kit is designed to be installed with an Aerpro APP8 Head Unit Secondary ISO Harness. The kit does not support Pioneer CAN bus features but includes a steering wheel control adapter, selected through the head unit's steering wheel control menu with the adapter option instead of CAN bus adapter on boot up.
