The Aeroflow Oil Filter suit Holden Chevrolet AF2296-1017 is a spin-on oil filter designed for Holden and Chevrolet LS2 6.0 litre V8 engines, equivalent to Z663 and HP-1017. It uses an improved coil spring design and a CNC-machined M22 x 1.5 thread for a precise fit, while an anti-drain back valve helps prevent dry starts. The extra-thick backing plate and housing resist pressure surges, suiting both racing and street applications.
Filtration is handled by a 30 micron pleated synthetic blend media element with a perforated centre tube that increases flow area and reduces media wear during pleat movement. A Buna-N rubber gasket is compatible with most racing fuels and lubricants, and the 24mm (15/16 inch) hex release nut, which includes a lock wire hole, allows quick removal at service time.
