It features a 308 stainless steel braided outer covering a hard-wearing PTFE liner, with a 6061-T6 aluminium handle and ends that are hand polished and chrome plated. Double O-rings provide a secure seal, and the flexible inner dipstick is clearly marked to give accurate transmission fluid level readings.
This transmission dipstick measures 610mm (24 inch) in length, suiting firewall mount installations. It also suits GM Trimatic transmissions, though this requires a modification that involves shortening the braided body by 15mm (19/32 inch).
