The Aeroflow 450 Series Black Braided Hose -6AN AF450-06-30M is a lightweight braided hose for performance and racing use. A braided nylon outer shield provides abrasion resistance while a flexible stainless steel inner core, embedded in a chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) synthetic rubber liner, adds strength without the weight of traditional braided steel hose, making it easier to assemble. This -6AN size is supplied in a 30 metre length, suiting extended fuel, oil, coolant and vacuum plumbing runs.
The hose suits fuel systems, E85, E10, methanol, oils, lubricants, coolant systems and vacuum applications, and operates across a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. It is recommended for pump fuel, as variable additives in some fuels cannot be guaranteed compatible with the rubber liner, while Aeroflow's PTFE series hose is intended for race blend fuels. This 450 Series hose is not recommended for brake systems, transmissions, power steering or extreme heat areas, and an inner coil support spring should be used on tight radius bends and on the suction side of any pump.
