The Aeroflow 450 Series Black Braided Light Weight Hose -16AN AF450-16-3M suits performance and racing applications needing an easy-to-assemble hose. Built with a braided nylon outer shield for abrasion resistance, it uses a flexible stainless steel inner core embedded in a Chlorinated Polyethylene (CPE) synthetic rubber liner for strength without the bulk of traditional braided steel hose.
This -16AN hose measures 3 metres in length and is suited to fuel systems, E85, E10, methanol, oils, lubricants, coolant systems and vacuum applications, operating across a temperature range of -40°C to 150°C. It is not recommended for brake systems, transmissions, power steering, extreme heat areas or use inside passenger compartments due to permeation; Aeroflow's 200 Series hose is intended for those applications instead.
As with all rubber hose, compatibility with fuels containing unknown additives cannot be guaranteed unless otherwise stated, and Aeroflow's PTFE series hose is recommended for race blend fuels. The hose should be thoroughly cleaned out before use, and an inner coil support spring is recommended on tight radius bends and on the inlet or suction side of any pump.
