The Aeroflow Top Dead Centre Tool AF98-2036 is engineered to locate piston top dead centre by giving a positive mechanical stop as the piston approaches the top of its stroke. It screws directly into the spark plug hole in place of the spark plug, with a 14mm thread suiting engines fitted with 14mm spark plugs.
The Aeroflow Top Dead Centre Tool features a smooth, radiused ball end at its tip, which contacts the piston crown without scoring or denting it as the piston travels upward. This lets the piston position be found accurately for ignition timing, valve timing and camshaft work without risking damage to the bore or piston.
