The Aeroflow Heat Barrier 20" x 12" Sheet AF91-6000 is a flexible aluminised heat shield sheet designed to reflect unwanted heat away from surfaces that need protection in the engine bay. The bright metallic surface withstands up to 1100°C (2000°F) of radiant heat and 650°C (1200°F) of direct heat, and can be trimmed to the exact size needed for the job. Installed with the metallic face toward the heat source it works as a heat shield, reflecting radiant heat, while turning the fabric side toward the heat source lets it retain warmth instead, with the metallic layer also acting as a barrier against fluid penetration.
This heat barrier measures 508mm x 305mm (20" x 12") in a silver finish and has minimal thickness for easy installation. It can be secured with Aeroflow stainless steel straps or simply riveted in place, making it a practical option wherever an adhesive-backed heat shield is not required.
