If you're tired of fiddling with tapes and pipe dopes, this Permatex High Performance Thread Sealant is a rapid-cure sealant that is formulated specifically for metal, tapered pipe thread fittings and can replace Teflon tape and pipe dopes. It prevents galling, protects mated threaded areas from rust and corrosion, and can withstand 10,000 psi.
Where can you use it?
This thread sealant contains PTFE (commonly known as Teflon) and is able to be used for stainless steel fittings, head bolts into through holes, oil PSI sending units/sensors, oil and coolant lines, intake manifold switches, rear axle fill plugs, and fuel fittings.

Directions:
- For best results, clean parts with Permatex®Surface Prep™activator.
- Knead tube of Thread Sealant before use.
- Apply sealant to leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first thread free of sealant. Apply to only 1/4 of a thread turn. It is not necessary to apply to all threads.
- Assemble parts and tighten to recommended torque. Refer to Technical Data Sheet for complete information.
