This cable is rated at 100A for up to 5 minutes (60% duty cycle), with a maximum continuous rating of 74A at 30°C ambient temperature. Performance may reduce at higher temperatures or when multiple cables are bundled together. For safety, we strongly recommend using a correctly sized fuse matched to your application, as an oversized fuse will not provide suitable protection. Please note that automotive 8mm cable is not the same as 240V electrical 8mm cable, and the ratings differ significantly between the two. Our 5m retail cable is supplied for general use and may not be suitable for all applications, such as power inverters that require longer lengths, and should not be considered a plug-and-play kit.
