The versatility of this product makes it a must have for your DIY paint preparation needs. You can use the SCA Etch Primer on a wide range of metals including mild steel, aluminium, zincalume, galvanized iron, chrome, copper, brass, stainless steel and even more. It can also be topcoated with most finishes including enamels, epoxies, lacquers, polyurethanes, acrylics or chlorinated rubber.
PreparationThe SCA Etch Primer needs to be in direct contact with the metal surface and will need to be thoroughly cleared of any paint, rust, rough texture or metal fillings. Then soak a cloth with SCA Multi-Purpose Thinners to remove any traces of grease, oil and dirt residue and allow to completely dry.
