Castrol EDGE 5W-40 A3/B4 is an advanced full synthetic engine oil formulated specifically to provide increased engine power and efficiency. Formulated with Fluid Titanium Technology, this unique formulation's adaptive strength reduces metal to metal contact across a range of different driving speeds, lowering friction and maximising engine performance.
Castrol works closely with leading car manufacturers to co-develop high-performance oils, and for that reason, Castrol EDGE is trusted and recommended by manufacturers including Audi, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagen and Volvo.
Castrol EDGE 5W-40 SN is suitable for use in automotive petrol and diesel engines where the manufacturer recommends an ACEA A3/B4, A3/B3, API SN or earlier specification SAE 5W-40 lubricant. Suitable for vehicles requiring the following specifications: ACEA A3/B4, API SN, BMW Longlife-01, MB-Approval 229.3, Porsche A40 and VW 502 00 / 505 00.
