In May 2009 I decided to replace the SR20DE engine in my 1991 PS13 Silvia and at the same time replace the RE4R01A Jatco auto box with one from a later model silvia. I managed to obtain an S15 2001 200SX auto box which had been removed for manual conversion. The box had done 52,000 K's.

The old transmission fluid was removed , pan and filter cleaned, torque converter emptied and filled with Castrol Transmax Z. Two litres was initially added to the pan after refitting.

The assembled car with bebuilt replacement engine was then started and autobox was flushed with about seven litres of Castrol Transmax Z until fluid coming through was bright green.

The car has now travelled just under 100,000 K's since May 2009 as a daily and tourer. The performance to date of the Transmax Z fluid has been outstanding and I have no hesitation in recommending this Castrol product. No additional work has been done to the auto box which is still performing as new. The colour of the Transmax Z is still bright green.
