Blackridge inverter generator
This is a good generator, great value for money.
Yes this is a really good generator for the money, i live in an isolated area with no mains power and this gen is my main source of power bar an 80watt solar panel and BRG 2.2kw AVR gen (which ive owned for 14 months to run big stuff like air conditioning), I run the gen on days off work for between 4 and 12hrs a day (night) so the gens done a minimum of 80hrs completely trouble free, I run a 10amp smart battery charger (the black non pulse type at SC) about 400w @ 10amps and a laptop(90w), External 19inch monitor(45w), sony surround sound (67w), 2x 35w lights and 1x 40w light all at the same time. Over a period of 4 hours ive NEVER used more then 1.5 litres of fuel total. 99% of the time starts first pull, has never blown anything up, the voltage is very stable. will run a 700watt toaster no problem.
What an incredible generator, easy starting, well made, quiet and able to run,TV,caravan lights, electric blankets, all at once with no stress, has never let me down, please do not judge this generator by the price,
you will miss an absolute bargain,as another contributor pointed out the lack of a 12 volt battery charger with no regulation compared with a dedicated 240 volt battery charger, can be an advantage,a quality item
at a bargain price, thank you Super Cheap Port Adelaide.
It will run variable speed power tools and 3 speed fans, no knocking sound from the electric motor like you get with some inverters, also works with modern battery chargers with switch mode power supply's. It is easy to start and not too noisy. smart throttle works well. The generator is not compatible with earth leakage detectors even when you use the supplied earth stake. The lack of a 12 volt outlet is no big loss as it's safer for the battery to use a quality battery charger.
I bought the brg800 from Supercheap Midland W.A. when it was on special ($359)
I thought that at that price it was worth taking a chance on a inverter gen. I can say that I am more than pleased with it - runs a bar fride in caravan plus lights etc - volts are very steady - smart thottle works fine - easy to start - noise is acceptable (all gens are loud at night) So far I have had no problems - main comlaint would be there is no 12 volt outlet but at $359 buy a battery charger or 12 volt power supply from J - car Highlywould recomend one at $359 - dont always listen to "purists"
