How to store car paint?
Question from K.Masters:
How do I properly store car paint and how long until it's no good?
Answer:
Our recommendation for storage of car paints:
Septone Enamel paints if stored correctly could expect a minimum life of at least 2 years.
Septone Acrylic Lacquer if stored correctly could expect a minimum life of at least 3 + years.
We strongly recommend all paints be stored away from direct sunlight in a dry cool environment away from children’s access. The cans must not be stored on the ground as moisture will rust the bottom of the can. To obtain the best shelf life for any paint product we recommend that unused thinned paint is discarded and not put back into the can, this will keep any remaining paint free from pigment falling and hardening on the bottom of the can.
