Fitting a Deep Cycle Battery
Question from Dave:
Hi, I have a 1989 Nissan Patrol and want to put duel batteries in it,I think you guys sell the kit but do you know if I can fit a deep cycle battery in.Ive had a quick look and although I know a ordinary battery will fit I'm not sure about the larger deep cycle batteries any info or sites to go to would be great.Thks
Answer:
Carried in store is a universal battery isolator kit (dual battery kit) part number 106725, which retails for $95AUD and includes the cable, terminals and isolator you require to connect your batteries. With regards to fitting a secondary battery in the engine bay, this can only be determined by the available space. If there in not enough room in the engine bay, the secondary battery (deep cycle battery should be used) can be fitted elsewhere in the vehicle (such as under neither the ute tray etc).
